About the role
Leevers Supermarket is hiring 1 Store Manager position in Philadelphia, PA. Annual salary: $60,000–$70,000. Employment: Full-time. Lead store operations, customer service, sales growth and profitability while developing a strong retail team. This exempt role reports to the District Manager and oversees approximately 10–25 direct reports.
Responsibilities
• Direct daily operations and maintain company standards, customer satisfaction and a clean, safe store. • Manage inventory, ordering and stock control to minimize waste and maintain availability. • Build vendor partnerships and select products suited to local demand. • Recruit, train, coach, mentor and evaluate employees. • Monitor sales, labor, shrink, inventory, margins and EBITDA; use financial and operational data to make decisions. • Execute merchandising programs, planograms, signage and inventory controls. • Maintain product quality, freshness, rotation and in-stock levels. • Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulations, and communicate with employees, leadership, vendors and support teams. • Complete other duties as business needs require.
Qualifications
• At least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent. • Three to five years of retail or grocery management experience. • Proficiency with POS, inventory software and Microsoft Office. • Experience with scheduling, merchandising, budgets and expense control, including understanding profit-and-loss statements. • Strong planning, analysis, leadership, team-development and administrative skills. • English/Spanish bilingual skills preferred. • Ability to follow the uniform dress code. Physical requirements: • Regularly reach, bend, balance, lift and carry 20–50 pounds; use a coordinated team lift for items over 50 pounds. • Stand and walk for extended periods and perform pushing, pulling, grasping, twisting and repetitive movements. • Work in varying conditions, including coolers, freezers, outdoor areas and delivery trucks.
